What type of denomination are you?
We are part of a group of churches known as the “Mennonites”. We are born again Christians that are serious about serving God. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way to God and that simplicity in life and obedience are a natural result of real faith. We take the Bible seriously, and try live out what the Bible says.
Do you have to be a Mennonite to come to your church?
Absolutely not. Our church doors are open to anyone. Our goal is for our church to be a place for anyone to meet God.
Do you use any special Bible?
No, we do not use certain translation, or a Bible that contains different words or extra books. We welcome you to bring and use whatever Bible you own. For your youth and children’s Bible studies, we use the New International Version because it’s easier to understand.
Do you believe in the three parts of God?
Yes. We believe that God consists of three parts, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Why do your women wear veils on their heads?
As we said in the first question, we take the Bible seriously, and try to live out what the Bible says. In 1 Cor. 11: 5-6 we read “….Every woman who prays or phrophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head – it’s just as though her head were shaved….. …. If it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head…” (NIV) Our woman choose to not cut their hair. Instead, they choose to veil their hair, and show respect to God.
